Product Description

Automatic EI-300 Lamination Stacking Machine for Heavy Industrial Transformer Manufacturing

The EI-300 is the largest frame in our EI lamination stacking series. It inserts E & I silicon steel laminations into transformer coil bobbins under PLC control, holding ±0.02 mm positioning accuracy and ±0.1 mm stacking accuracy at cycle rates up to 250 stacks per minute, with a Mitsubishi PLC and touch screen interface. It covers the 8000-15000 VA band of heavy industrial transformers.

The End of the Range, and the Point of It

Our EI series runs from EI-19 to EI-300. That span is not a catalogue padding exercise - it exists because transformer plants rarely make one core size. A factory building distribution transformers, control transformers and equipment-specific units at the same time needs stack consistency across all of them, and it needs that consistency from a supplier that does not change its service relationship every time the product mix shifts.

The EI-300 sits at the top of that range. Everything the smaller frames do, it does at the largest core size we build: the same ±0.1 mm stacking discipline, the same photoelectric jam detection, the same PLC recipe system, the same spare parts family. What changes is the physical consequence of getting it wrong - a large core amplifies a placement error across a much taller stack, so the accuracy that was comfortable on a small core becomes the entire margin at this size.

Where EI-300 Fits in the Range

Frame Size Position in the Series
EI-19 to EI-50 Small and miniature cores, high-volume assembly
EI-54 to EI-86 Metering, control and inverter cores
EI-96 to EI-150 Power and distribution transformer cores
EI-175 to EI-300 Heavy industrial cores through to this frame

If your programme spans several bands - which is common - the recipes from every size you own can be managed the same way, and one service contact covers the whole set. That is the practical reason to standardise on one series rather than shopping frame by frame.

What the Largest Frame Changes

✅ Accuracy Becomes Non-Negotiable - At this core size, ±0.02 mm positioning repeatability is what keeps the effective air gap - and therefore the loss figure and the temperature rise - where the design put it.

✅ Gentle Handling Protects Expensive Steel - Large laminations are the most costly per piece. Coating damage that would be tolerable on a small core becomes a measurable loss penalty here, so feed and insertion are controlled accordingly.

✅ Exact Count, Every Core - The PLC counts each sheet, so stack height matches the drawing rather than the operator's judgement.

✅ Recipes Retire the Re-Setup - Each size is stored in the controller. Moving between an EI-300 run and a smaller core is a recall, not a mechanical rebuild.

✅ Fault Logging and Jam Detection - The cycle stops before laminations are crushed, and the controller records the fault for whoever investigates it.

✅ One Parts Family - Sensors, rollers and guide plates are shared with the rest of the series wherever the design allows, which keeps spares simple as you add sizes.

Typical Heavy Cores

Heavy industrial power transformers, large converter and drive transformers, high-capacity isolation transformers for plant distribution, welding power sources at the top of the range, and large control power supplies. CRGO and CRNGO grades are both supported at 0.3 mm, 0.35 mm and 0.5 mm thickness, with cardboard or plastic bobbins. Runs as a standalone station or inline with winding and varnishing.

Choosing Within the Series

Send us your core sizes and monthly volume and we will tell you which frame or frames match, including where one machine can cover two bands and where two machines pay for themselves. Delivery is 1-15 working days for standard configurations, with professional after-sales technical support and a 12-month warranty. We are a direct manufacturer with CE certified equipment, serving customers including GE Vernova and Eaton (USA) as well as CATL and Chint Electric, and exporting to more than 20 countries and regions.
